Angela & Glenda, Birmingham

Thank you Top Drawer Holidays - our trip to Budapest went seamlessly well! It felt so good to not have to worry about airport transfers; all documentation was organised well in advance and our little guide to the city that you provided was an added bonus! Budapest was an amazing city of two halves. The hotel you recommended was on the Pest side of the river (the Palazzo Zichy) and was a stunning hotel. I cannot recommend this highly enough. It was extremely clean, well decorated and the staff were so smiley and helpful. They helped us plan trips and get to know the city a little better. There was a great city centre that included all of the usual high street shops and restaurants but so many unusual and quirky ones too. There was an 'expensive/ designer' area (that was well out of my price range) and also a quirky Jewish area that boasted lots of vintage shops and cool coffee bars. There really was something for everyone and every occasion. Travelling around was so easy - over the time spent there, we travelled by bus, boat, tram, metro, taxi and cliff lift! We just bought a very reasonably priced travel pass and it was unlimited! So much history, art, culture and generally beautiful sites to see there. We filled every second of time because we didn't want to miss anything. Majority of things are really reasonably priced. It's definitely somewhere I would visit again and I wouldn't change a thing.
