Hayley & Blake, Leeds

"Hi we had an absolutely amazing time. Overall we were really pleased with everything, we thought the length of the journeys and the time spent in the locations was spot on, a perfect mix of relaxation and travelling.

Thankyou for all your hard work, it was a honeymoon to remember and we've managed to make everyone jealous! We'd be happy to recommend you to others and will be in touch if we decide to do anything similar in future."

Katy & Michael, Fareham

Hi Ian! Many thanks - it's.....err....."great" to be back...!!! We had a lovely time thank you!

As for the hotels, we were pleased with all of them, thank you! Our two least favourite were the Moab one (very thin walls and ceilings and we were kept awake a lot by the person stomping around above us!) and the Maswick Lodge, but I appreciate that staying in the Grand Canyon is pricey and there are better places available if you want to pay for it. Everywhere else was lovely though!

I have actually recommended Top Drawer to my friend Tanya so she may well be in touch and I will be sure to mention it to others too!! It's been a great service and you've been a great help from start to finish.

Thanks again!!"

Gary & Amy, Inverurie

Hi Ian, Just a quick line to let you know we had a fantastic time on honeymoon in Malta. The hotel was great and all the staff really friendly and helpful. The pool area was really relaxing and set away from the hotel in the grounds which we felt added to the charm of the place. We would definitely recommend to hotel if you were to visit Malta.

We found there to be plenty to do during our stay but Gary certainly found that 10 days was long enough as many of the places to visit and attractions were similar (Cathedrals and temples) which resulted in him getting a little bored on occasions when I was dragging him out and about.

Eating out was fantastic with fabulous pasta and fish dishes and within Valletta there where plenty of places to choose from such that we ate all our evening meals in Valletta. It was really hot whilst we where in Malta above 30C every day and we only saw clouds once. So much better that British weather.

Thanks so very much for arranging our honeymoon for us. We had a great time and all the added extras ( transfers, VIP passes) really helped us to feel special. We would definitely recommend you, Top Drawer holidays and The Bottom Drawer to others. The service has been faultless and everyone so friendly and pleasant to deal with. Kind Regards"

"The trip was magical! We had the most wonderful time. Kuala Lumpur was a great experience although we were a little worried about the weather in Pangkor Laut Resort as it poured the whole time we were in KL!

You were right though the storms themselves were a sight to see! Traders was perfectly fine but nothing in comparison to Pangkor Laut. We were upgraded to a Spa Villa and treated like absolute royalty! It was just as we hoped, complete paradise!!

Thanks again for your great organisation, it was indeed a holiday of a lifetime! We will make sure we recommend you to our friends.

Best Wishes"

We had a wonderful holiday thanks, although with the amount of sightseeing and walking we did I'm not sure I'd describe it as relaxing! The hotel in Venice was beautiful. The Florence hotel room was larger than expected (almost a suite) which was very pleasant and the jucuzzi was very welcome on our tired muscles! Everything went as planned - we even managed to catch the right train out of Milan to Venice even though we only had 15 mins between the 2 and the train was 10 mins late into the station! Thanks for your help again.

We had the most amazing time at Reethi Beach. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the room to, the food, to the service from all staff and the most beautiful setting. We have already decided that we will go back in a couple of years time for Bryan's 40th. It was just perfect, thank you for your assistance in arranging such a magical honeymoon for us.

Jo & Trevor, Birmingham

Hi Ian. Back this morning. Great time. All the organisation was spot on, thanks. VIP lounge at Cancun was a great extra, many thanks. Langham hotel in Boston was superb and all the main amenities were within walking distance, or the means to travel to them was. Felt Lindo wasn't as good as last year, so we'll be on the lookout for a different hotel if we go back to Mexico. Thanks again for excellent and professional dealings with us. We wouldn't hesitate to book with you again and would most certainly recommend you to friends. Best wishes.

Thank you so much for all you help and support in sorting it all out. We shall certainly recommend you to our friends & family :)

Michelle & Thilina, Croydon

"Hi Thanks for checking everything went well - we have had a fantastic time over the last couple of weeks!

I was generally very pleased with the hotel and tours - we were kept very busy, and have come away having seen everything we wanted to. Rain on the day we went dolphin watching was also beyond your control! (We went anyway, we just got very wet!)

Overall, I am very impressed with the service I received from Top Drawer Holidays, and mentioned a number of times during the honeymoon that I would use your company again when going on holiday. I especially enjoyed knowing my itinerary, and more importantly, knowing I'd paid for it all (even accommodation!) in advance, so any money I had, I knew I had to spend on food or sundry expenses, rather than having to keep money aside for the various tours. It would have been very difficult to organise the honeymoon without your knowledge, so I really appreciate your advice and help.

Many thanks again, and kind regards"

We had a wonderful honeymoon thank you. Everything went smoothly with the flights and transfers which was fantastic. Our two hotels were amazing! We both loved the Anantara resort in Koh Samui especially. We have no negative feedback as we had a fantastic holiday that couldn't have been improved! We found your service very good throughout and would like to thank you for all of your help.

Tom & Jo, Derby

"We arrived back safe and sound yesterday morning and are coming to terms with the cold weather and time difference.  We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon and would like to thank you for your help and patience in advising and organising things for us.  The weather turned out to be perfect in both Phuket and Bali.  All three Hotels/Resorts were amazing and we were well looked after and made to feel very special (particularly in Bali).  We enjoyed all the excursions you booked for us, especially the elephant trek, james bond and reef cruise.

Thanks again for all your help and patience."

Dee & Lee, Stourbridge

"Thanks for your email. We had an AMAZING honeymoon thank you! It was fantastic from start to finish.

The Komaneka at Tanggyuda was a perfect place to start our holiday in Bali as it combined the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel of that class, with the balinese tradition. The location was just outside of Ubud but there was a regular shuttle bus into town, and it was nice being slightly out of the way and around more of the beautiful landscape. It was nice and exclusive for the start to our trip and the service was out of this world.

The Samaya in seminyak wasn't so traditional and was very contemporary. The villas were outstanding and again an excellent service. Though it was in the heart of busy seminyak, you couldn't hear any noise and the area of the beach it faced was relatively quiet so it was still very chilled.

The Atlantis the Palm in Dubai was a lot busier which you would expect given the size and the facilities it offers. We had a great stay there.

I'd also like to mention the travel company who took us on trips around Bali & did the airport transfers was fantastic. Wibar (I think that's how you spell his name) really made the trip for us and taught us so much.

Thank you for organising such a wonderful trip and I will definitely be in touch for our next adventure (hopefully America next year!)"

Abi & Pete, London

"We had a wonderful honeymoon! Italy is a lovely country, and both cities were excellent places to visit. The hotels were both really nice and all the travel and stuff worked smoothly. Being met at the airport in Rome made arrival *much* less stressful, and the water taxi to the airport in Venice was fantastic, and a perfect way to end the holiday.

Top Drawer replied quickly to queries, and matched all our requirements, and the Bottom Drawer gift list worked perfectly as well - many thanks!"

"Hi. Thanks for your email. We really did have a truly fantastic trip and thanks so much for helping to arrange it. Sure, I don’t mind giving some feedback.

The Virgin premium economy was well worth the extra money and was a great service.

The first hotel the Melia Buenavista was a great hotel, which felt more like a boutique hotel than a chain.  The room was beautiful and the food was very good.  By far and away the best thing about the hotel was the service- the staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us have a good stay.

The Hotel Saratoga in Havana was a lovely Colonial hotel looks wise- however it felt quite seedy.  The bar is full of old business men with very young local girls and we were surprised that they were allowed to be so blatant about it.  The Parque Central where we were dropped off initially by mistake seemed a much nicer hotel, the staff were friendlier and there were more facilities.  I would recommend that hotel in future but not the Saratoga I’m afraid.

The hotel in Trinidad was just beautiful.  The junior suite was stunning.  Upon first going to Trinidad we were a little unsure of the place- first impressions aren’t great as you’re driving through it, however once settled in the hotel we came to see it’s actually a really friendly place and we loved it.  (If you’re ever booking anyone to go there we can’t recommend the restaurant Museum 1514 strongly enough!).  I would definitely recommend going into the rainforest around Trinidad.

Cienfuegos is a fairly dull place to visit and the last hotel we stayed in there (the Jagua) was awful! Going from historical colonial hotels to a 1950s monstrosity that reeked of damp and being on our last night as well wasn’t great and did spoilt the last day I’m afraid.  I wouldn’t have stayed in the room- it wasn’t clean and was incredibly damp.  I think that’s the only negative on the whole trip - in that we definitely didn’t want to stay in modern hotels with so many historical ones on offer and so it was a shame we weren’t advised to stay somewhere like the Union or the Palacio Azul as budget wasn’t a problem especially on honeymoon.  However, saying that we did speak to our Kuoni rep and we were moved to a nicer hotel ‘The Green House Hotel’ opposite the Jagua and upgraded without charge.  This was done with minimal fuss and resulted from just 1 phone call to our rep saying we were unhappy with the hotel and could they help us as it was our last night.  Actually from start to finish we found Kuoni excellent.   Neither of us have experience of a tour operator as we usually book ourselves and we found them very helpful.   Our rep called Janet was lovely and helped us out on several occasions with car hire and advice and we were called several times by Kuoni during our stay to check that we were happy with everything.

I would also say that car hire is very easy and it’s a great experience to drive yourself around.  We used Cuba Car and found travelling by car much easier than anticipated.

All in all we had a fantastic trip, and it felt like a real adventure.

Thanks so much for helping us organise it and all of your suggestions, I would definitely recommend you and Top Drawer again in the future."

"Hi. The holiday was perfect, thank you. The hotel was stunning and the diving and snorkelling was amazing... A brilliant holiday. Some feedback on the hotel Azanzi... We thought it was amazing and a fantastic resort. We were upgraded and treated very well. If we're to criticise anything I think it would be the all inclusive option. It wasn't a good option as it was restrictive... The normal all inclusives we go to are geared up properly and Azanzi was not. The drinks were restricted and the food was only on at set times so we went hungry in the afternoon for snacks. We ended up walking down the beach to another hotel for snacks...

Other than that I thought the whole honeymoon was perfect. Stone town was amazing and well worth it.

Thank you again for all your hard work."

Clare & David, Oxford

"Hi. We are now back from our honeymoon and we just wanted to say thank you. We had a fabulous time. Here's how it went:

Iceland - wow, it was really ICE-land, I don't think the temperature went above -5 the whole time we were there!! However, we saw the Northern lights, the golden circle tour was great, then the car hire was the best bit. They gave us a Chevrolet Orlando (much bigger than the citroen c3 listed) it had snow tires and it was fab, we accidently came across a couple of mountain roads but survived and otherwise the main roads were practically deserted. We saw beautiful waterfalls, glaciers, geysirs, black beaches, caves, seals playing just 5 metres in front of us, it was great. The hotel was very nice, they had left a platter of biscuits and chocolates with a congratulations card in the room which was lovely. The only down side was that breakfast wasn't included, but having said that the supermarket next door had a cafe and they did the best chocolate croissants ever!

New York - Ink48 is a fabulous hotel, we felt completely out of our league!! I honestly think it is the nicest hotel we've ever set foot into. The room was huge, they even had a choice of pillows for us! The view from the room was outstanding,we were on the 14th floor facing times square, we were able to watch the sun come up through the skyscrapers and see the skyline fully lit at night. The hotel put a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates with a congratulations card in the room and the staff were just outstanding, so polite and friendly all the time. Whilst they didn't do breakfast they did do complimentary coffee every morning which was nice. The in house breakfast was very pricey ($25+ each) in fact the rest of the menu there was pricey but the one meal that we had was very good. The only slight complaint we would have is its location. It was just a little too far out of the hustle and bustle for us. The walk from 11th avenue across to 9th to get into the action took us past residential areas, soup kitchens, parks and people loitering. We never felt unsafe, but we felt a little uncomfortable and we've never felt like that in New York before. The standard of the hotel made up for it, but I'm not sure that we'd opt to stay there again just purely for that extra 15 minute walk.

The Cruise (Queen Mary 2) - we had a rough experience, literally! Setting sail on the tuesday we were overawed by the ship. It is beautiful. The stateroom was lovely, huge comfy bed, balcony to watch New York disappear from, but then the wind got up. We hit force 10 winds on the wednesday and the captain said we were in 'very rough' conditions. I was green! We had medicine but it didn't help so Thursday we visited the medical centre prepared to pay their fees ($88 consultation fee!) they were so helpful and they just gave me some pills for $6 and said they may make me drowsy....I woke up 18 hours later!!! We then managed to get to grips with the idea of a cruise and started to enjoy it. The shows were good, the food excellent and the dressing up was quite fun. We did feel a little let down with some of the staff though. All the food staff were outstanding, they couldn't do enough for you. But the rest were only interested in diamond or platinum members. It felt like they would look you up and down at any time of day to try to discern whether they should be helpful or not. The first show the entertainment director came up to us in the show to ask what brought us on the cruise, we said honeymoon, he gushed and promised all sorts of goodies then said to see him at the end of the show. Excitedly we waited at the end of the show......he had gone. We saw him the next day whilst we met the captain, he had forgotten us, we gently reminded him, again he said come and find him at the end....he had gone. We gave up. Whilst we didn't expect free stuff, the gifts from Iceland and New York had left us thinking there would be something similar on the cruise but there was nothing, and then the false promises from the entertainment director did leave us feeling a little disappointed. Otherwise it was good, a very relaxed few days and we met some lovely people on our table.

All in all we had a ball. Thank you so much for putting it together for us and for all the service and help. We will hopefully be using you again in the not too distant future for our next adventure."

From Clare & David, Oxford who honeymooned in Iceland to see the Northern Lights, then onto New York before a cruise back to the UK.

We had a fantastic holiday! The flights were excellent, we got a row of seats to ourselves on three of the four flights which was a bonus. Dubai was a very easy airport to transfer, I have never seen an airport so big. The transfers to the resort were good. It took about an hour and a half, the roads are not great and would not drive on them myself. The hotel was perfect, the room was small but had everything we needed including ipod docking station and usb points which connect to the tv. The staff were amazing and the food was good. They only real let down was the house wine, as you could imagine we suffered it. I would recommend full-board including drinks at meal times as buying drinks generally would leave you with a very big bill! We booked a couple of trips. The first was a trip to Port Louis and lunch at the sugar museum. It was very expensive and disappointing for what we paid. The second trip was on a sailing trip which was excellent. The resort was in the middle of nowhere, which suited us, but might not suit everyone. The whole trip was just what we were after, a very relaxing holiday!

John & Vicki, Bristol

"Hi. We had a fantastic holiday, which was over all too soon.  It was the small touches that made it; the one to one service with yourself, the Lounge passes for the airport, the fact that we were met at the airport by Sandra from Sardinian Places, the bag of shopping that we had given to us when we moved to the Self Catering apartment.  These are the things that distinguish your holiday service from the more “well-known” operators.  As Vicki, my wife said to me when we decided to use the service, it is the money or the stress of booking i.e. using a service like yours, or trying to book it all yourself.  It is so refreshing to be able to leave a phone message and actually get called back, by the person you have been dealing with, to have a question answered or an issue sorted out!

The locations were great, the Capo D’Orso in particular.  The staff could not do enough for you.  A truly relaxing experience.

The only comment I would have about the Cala di Falco was that it did have quite a few families in the self-catering apartments who were quite noisy.  It didn’t particularly bother us, but other Honeymoon couples might be a bit put off by that.

Thanks again."

"Honeymoon was brilliant thank you ! We enjoyed the lounge at Gatwick and flight to Venice. Private Water Taxi was driven by a complete nutter who was pulled over by a ambulance boat and told off for speeding - we loved it ! Ca-Piscina hotel was very nice and the staff could not have been more helpful.  Location was brilliant just a very short walk from the Accademia bridge. We loved Venice and found that it was easy to get good value for money and quality meals in lovely canal side restaurants if we avoided the ultra touristy bits like around the Rialto Bridge. It was very easy to get away from the busier areas and find delightful back streets with lots of character and peace and quiet. We bought Vaporetto water bus passes and explored the islands too but found getting around Venice itself this way very busy and slow - it was often quicker to walk. We did the obligatory Gondala ride - 100 euro for 50 minutes and worth every cent, our Gondalier was happy for us to take a bottle of Prosecco with us !

Sorrento Hotel Mediterraneo was very different but still nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Only dissappointment was that it was on a busy road with scooters whizzing by feet from the terrace and was a 25 min trek into town with an infrequent hotel shuttle bus. Staff made up for this though. We got free bubbly in the room on arrival. Weather was excellent bar the very last couple of days in Sorrento so we went shopping. Getting around from Sorrento was easy and we visited Herculanium, Capri, Amalfi and Ischia. Taxis in Sorrento were very expensive - 30 euros for a 10 minute trip from the hotel to the bus station. We got some good deals ignoring the hotel organised tours and booking direct via the internet - a day trip to Capri on a small boat with 8 other people, including visit to the Blue Grotto, Green Grotto, three swim stops, lunch and 2 hours to explore Capri by ourselves was only 70 euro each and would have been 109 through the hotel.

We did use the Circumvesuviana train but this was dirty, noisy and busy - it is worth making sure of catching the fast 'DD' trains as the slow ones are seriously slow.

Thanks so much for your care in organising it all ! We have lots of precious memories from our time in Italy."

Brian & Dave, Birmingham

"Hi.  Hotel was great.  We also mentioned to them in advance of our arrival about our anniversary.  But thank you very much for also letting them know.  Not sure if we had anything above and beyond the standard, but they did put us on the top floor with wonderful views over the rooftops and out over theatre square!  The location is incredible with great restaurants nearby.  Hotel itself was really great, wonderful breakfast spread and intimate bar and lounge.  The one thing I would mention when you recommend this hotel is to ensure you have all your clothes ironed as the hotel does not provide an iron/ironing board and instead offer an ironing service, which of course is prohibitively expensive!

The private water taxi is, as you say, the only way to arrive in style at your hotel and we managed to get all the way to the mooring of the hotel itself, which is a doorway onto the lobby!

Brilliant stuff and thanks again for the wonderful recommendation/booking."

From Brian & Dave, Birmingham who celebrated their anniversary in Venice.

Sarah & Andrew, Eastbourne

"Thank you, we had a fantastic time. All went without a hitch, accept for when we arrived at the Paris hotel and they said there was a problem as a family had been there with children who had been poorly in our room so they gave us a bottle of champagne and paid for a taxi to take us round the corner to Villa des Ambassadeurs, 6 rue du Bouquet de Longchamp, which they said was an equivalent and they said quieter, hotel, we had no problem with this as the new hotel was absolutely fine and we got a free upgrade to one of their superior rooms, so we were happy. All of the train journeys were fine, Doudo Palace hotel was wonderful, the staff could not have been more helpful and they also upgraded us to a deluxe room and gave us a bottle of Prossecco. The location of Doudo's Palace was central, only about 5 minutes walk from St Mark's Square and San Marco Vaparetto, but the hotel was far enough away not to get noise from the outside. Bruneleschi was amazing, the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in, our room was spacious and they also gave us a bottle of Prossecco.  The breakfast choices were endless, we also ate in the hotel one evening and the food was fantastic. There was also a relaxing lounge in the hotel that we went to after dinner. A porter came to our room with us on arrival, carrying our bags and explaining the hotel to us. This hotel was also centrally located but in a little square so not too noisy.

We feel the service that Top Drawer provided to be outstanding and we will definitely be recommending you."
