No-Fly Holidays

If your idea of a brilliant holiday doesn’t start with a flight then don’t panic, you have lots of options and we can help you with them, here are a few ideas:

By Train: We are agents for Great Rail Journeys, they specialise in escorted and independent rail tours, with many tours departing from London St Pancras International, so you can avoid the queuing and stresses associated with airports, and instead admire the views from Europe's fabulous high-speed rail network. With space to stretch out, the journey from the UK to your destination is no longer a necessary hassle, but instead a truly enjoyable part of your holiday. If you travel on an escorted tour then you get the benefits of a tour manager handling all the arrangements, allowing you to relax, and you get to meet a whole group of new friends and travelling companions. Rail travel is relaxing and the best way to watch Europe’s ever-changing scenery from the large windows whilst not feeling confined to a chair, as you might on an aeroplane. On a Great Rail Journeys tour, an exciting programme of excursions (fancy a visit to an opulent palace or a lake cruise?) is all included in the price of your holiday.

We can also tailor make your own independent trip along Europe's rail network staying at wonderful hotels along the way.

By Boat: Cruises are definitely a great no-fly option, not only are there lots of itineraries which depart and return from UK ports but you can easily get to European ports by train. We’re always putting together ‘cruise and stay’ itineraries for our customers who like to make the most of their cruise holiday with a few days in the port city either before they embark upon of after they return from the cruise. A rail trip would be a lovely, relaxing addition to a cruise, imagine travelling through the Italian lakes then spending a few days in Venice before enjoying your cruise! There are also options for coach trips to Europe where you join a river cruise. So if flying isn’t for you, you don’t have miss out on anything that other people take for granted. You can go no-fly, even to the Caribbean and the USA!

By Coach: Another sedate way to travel is by coach, you won’t have to worry about driving and modern coaches are spacious and comfortable, so you’ll arrive refreshed and relaxed. The operators who travel to Europe by coach really know the best routes taking in lots of amazing destinations along the way: it’s a great way to see a lot on one holiday. Included in your price are ferry fares, hotels and excursions, lots of coach touring companies even include picking you up from your own front door and dropping you off again at the end of your holiday!

By Car: Taking your own car and driving to Ireland or France (or even further) is a firm favourite. We can help you plan and book your whole trip including ferry crossings or Eurostar, and accommodation from gites to campsites, vineyards to city hotspots.
